Freedom Is Not Free

Freedom is not free...

As we celebrate with family and friends today, please remember our soldiers who made and make our way of life possible along with the biblical principles our Founding Fathers used to build the foundation of our great nation. 

“We are going to know a new freedom and a new happiness.” Big Book pg. 83 

 Lord, let us remember that our freedom is a privilege and a part of the heritage we receive from You, AMEN. 

“For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom” 2 Corinthians 3:1

It's An Inside Job

It’s an inside job…. 

People who are living with grace, joy, and peace have that happy glow about them. 

What I have learned is that they get this glow from the happiness that exists inside of them. 

It’s not from winning the lottery, being a millionaire, or even having those material things that we feel at times we just have to have. 

Yes, those things bring a different kind of happiness. 

It’s from knowing that, no matter what, they are covered, protected, and blessed by God. His Holy Spirit lives in each of us and that is how He is able to bless us abundantly. 

Our part is to merely seek and do His will on a daily basis. 

In living our faith in a way that others can see, we are allowing God to work through us to help others.

Lord, thank You for the abundance of blessings in our lives. Please continue to let our hearts see that happiness comes from the Holy Spirit living in each of us, AMEN.

Being Transparent

Being transparent… 

Isn’t it nice when it turns out that things and people ARE what they seem? 

We don’t get to experience much of that today, but it sure is refreshing when we do. 

It seems to be a cultural norm that either we are only seeing and hearing what we want to, or we are being shown and told only what others think we want. 

It sure gets confusing. 

It’s a spiritual principle as well as a biblical truth that we are at our best when we do what we say and say what we do. 

Living transparently allows us to be us all the time and not have to switch characters and remember what roles we need to assume for different people and situations… 

Check your experience…

Lord, let us be transparent in our daily lives, learning to be the best we can be through seeking and doing Your will, AMEN. 

“Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” 1 John 3:18
